National Album Day 2024 Exclusive
Reunited shoegaze outfit Slowdive spent 2016 in the studio recording their first album in over two decades. The self-titled album followed two years of successful live shows. The band split up in 1995 after being dropped from the Creation label, but achieved cult success in the years between then and 2014, when they reformed.
This comeback album was their first since 1995’s Pygmalion, which the band never actually toured when it was originally released. The world has finally caught up with Slowdive. The band whose reach goes far beyond just influencing music returned to stardom with their first top 20 record which has gone on to sell 32k to date in the UK.
